Fall Excursion to Cresco

Sunday, October 20, 2019

Over the rivers and through the woods, indeed!
Our Fall spectacular trains run on Sundays to the Pocono village of Cresco, and the 1880s train station.  While there, members of the Barrett Township Historical Society will open their arms to us, with light refreshments, folk music, toy trains and other hometown delights.
The diesel powered train boards at Steamtown 30 minutes before departure at 11:30.  An hour and a half later, the train arrives at the station.  Dress appropriately for the weather, since the train will leave in order to prepare for the return to Steamtown.
Tickets are available for purchase Wednesdays through Sundays between 9:00 and 4:00.  You may buy them in person at the Ticket & Information booth, or over the telephone with a credit card. (888) 693-9391, ext 5204.
$34.00 for adults
$29.00 for seniors, aged 62 and up
$22.00 for children aged 6-15
No charge for children 5 and under, although a ticket is required.
For an extra $25.00 per passenger, you can upgrade to ride in our Buisiness Car, no. 353, from the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
This train is not handicap accessible due to the uneven ground at the Cresco station complex.  One of the Barrett Historical Society's buildings is on the other side of a road.  If you have any questions, please contact the ticket booth.
Ticket sales begin for this trip on September 25.
