United Way of Wyoming Valley 2022 Campaign Kickoff Reception

Thursday, September 15, 2022

Join United Way of Wyoming Valley and keynote speaker, local NFL legend Raghib "Rocket" Ismael, to kickoff the 2022 fundraising season to improve the odds of success for at-risk children, families, and others in need.

Admission includes cocktail and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Tables of 10 are available. Must RSVP by 9/2. With a 100-year legacy of strengthening our community, the United Way of Wyoming Valley enters its second century of service with an even greater sense of urgency to improve the odds of success for at-risk children, families, and others in need. Campaign Co-Chairs Tom and Patty Leighton invite you to be part of our Poverty to Possibility movement by joining us on September 15th for our 101st Annual Campaign kickoff. Our 2022 campaign kickoff speaker is a name familiar to many in the Wyoming Valley. Raghib “Rocket” Ismail was a Meyers High School standout, a two-time All-American at Notre Dame, and spent ten years playing professional football. He has always appreciated his formative years in Wilkes-Barre and is excited to help support the important and impactful work of the United Way. Rocket retired in 2003 and worked as a broadcaster for ESPN and FSN Southwest. He now lives in Dallas, Texas where he serves as an inspirational speaker for corporations, schools, and churches.
