Louis Fouche' Chandelier Lobby Show

Saturday, May 13, 2023

You’ve seen Northeast PA native Louis Fouché nightly as the saxophonist on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Now catch him live at the F.M. Kirby Center!

Louis Fouché grew up in Mountain Top, PA, and attended Crestwood High School and Wyoming Seminary. He spent summers with family in New Orleans where he began studying music at the Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong Summer Jazz Camp. Since embarking on his music career, Fouché has performed in over 30 countries on 6 continents and has established himself as one of the most exciting and versatile saxophonists in the world.

Fouché has toured with 10-time Grammy winning Latin music legend Eddie Palmieri since 2010, and he has appeared nightly on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert since 2017, first as a member of Jon Batiste & Stay Human and now with Louis Cato & The Late Show Band. Fouché has performed with a multitude of world-renowned artists including Dave Matthews, Jill Scott, Billy Joel, Carole King, James Taylor, Paul Simon, Joe Walsh, Neil Schon, Lalah Hathaway, Jon Batiste, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Michael Bublé, Cory Wong, Alessia Cara, Chief Xian Atunde Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott), French Montana, and many more.

Fouché is a recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award and the first-ever Distinguished Alumni Award from Crestwood High School. He has also received formal recognition for his contributions to Grammy and Emmy award-winning productions.

In addition to performing, Fouché is an accomplished producer, composer, and arranger. His self-produced debut EP Subjective Mind was a #1 new release on Amazon and received radio play worldwide. His most recent album as a co-leader, Eddie Palmieri Presents Sonido Solar, has received international critical acclaim, including a 4.5 out of 5 star review from DownBeat Magazine.
