[ARCHIVED] Winter Waterfall Ice Hiking

Winter waterfall Ice Hiking - Ricketts

You will explore dozens of waterfalls and ice formations as you trek through the ravines of the majestic Ricketts Glen State Park in the Pocono Mountains. We will hike along the Falls Trail and explore the Glens Natural Area. Many of the waterfalls and streams freeze, as do the walls of the cliffs and the banks of the trail, creating glistening ice formations and an awe inspiring experience. Ganoga Falls, the tallest waterfall, is 94 ft. and when it freezes you’ll find yourself in an amphitheater of icicles—truly an awe inspiring experience. This trip transports you to a frozen-in-time waterfall wonderland. The guides set hand-lines at certain sections of the trail as we hike on an ice-packed trail system—it is an incredible experience! No prior experience necessary.

Trips run every Sat. & Sun., Feb. 1 – Mar. 17 (including President’s day)
