Even though we live inland here in NEPA, the ocean impacts us directly - the food we eat, the medicine we take, and even our toothpaste, are in some way brought to us by the sea. Living by the Susquehanna River, we are part of the Chesapeake Bay estuary, and we can trace our impacts directly into the ocean.

The Misericordia Ocean Sustainability Symposium (MOSS), is sponsored by the Environmental Studies program, and focuses on the role of the ocean in all of our lives. Join us as we showcase through our students’ efforts and our guest speakers, the role that humans play in the health of 70% of our planet’s surface!
